What forms a Lumos

A lumos forms from intense negative emotions. A lumos within the first two years of forming is called a lux, as its coats colors may change until it settles into its best fit. A pack of lumos is called a lumen, which are only seen wheen there has been a catastrophe, such as a natural disaster, or human caused mass death. They can be seen cirling, either on ground or in sky, where the mass of people are, and depending on the colours of their coats, they can help first responders find who is still alive in time to save them.

The Purpose of a Lumos

A lumos is formed to bring comfort and calm to those that form it, and help heal them in any way they can. This can be through inspiring them to help others, helping them to take care of themselves, helping them to reach out and bond, ect.

The End of a Lumos

Lumos only die whene the body of their human is found, unless their human was accompanied in death, then it will die at the same time. A lumos will show signs of nearing the end as their coat greys until there is no distinguishable pattern. A lumos will find a way to stay by their humans side no matter what.

Avian Lumos

Avian lumos have wings that are similar in structure to a bat falcon, and rarely have patterns or coloration other than their primary colour. Their tails have sorsal feathers lined along the sides, and can range from lining the entire length of the tail, half of it, or just the tip. Their mane is smoother than an equine lumos, so as to fly with more fluid grace, their snouts are slightly slimmer on average for the same reason. Their feet are the same as a pallas sandgrouse.

Equine Lumos

Equine lumos are bulcier in comparison to their avian counterparts. Their tails have fur that match their mane, which can either line the length of the tail, half of it, or be a tuft on the end. Their mane is thicker, and puffs out more. Their snouts are a bit thicker, with canine teeth that are thicker and potrude more than avian lumos teeth. Their feet are the same as an eohippus.

All Lumos

All lumos have the same base structure. Quadrupedal, with fur that is extra long on their ear tips, elbows, knees, and ankles, the ankle fur dragging onto the ground somtimes. Their manes are made of fur softer than rabbits hide, and match their primary color. A lumos is seven to eight feet long from nose to tail tip, with the tail making up half of that length. A lumos can have two to four eyes in total; their eyes have no pupils and match their secondary colour, while also being reflective like a cats pupils.

Coat Colorations

Every coat consists of a primary colour, and the secondary colour that makes up the patterns, fluff in the ears, teeth, dorsal feathers or tail tuft, and eyes. It is very rare—but not impossible—for these colours to be inverted from the examples shown below.

Patterns and Their Meanings

Patterns represent the emotions that formed a lumos. Sharp patterns, such as the stripes, represent intense anger, fear, pain, or panic, that the person the lumos belongs to felt. Eye markings represent emotions caused by somthing missing, which could be lonliness, abandonment, grief, or depression. Circular markings represent emotions that are hard to name, very braud, or indescribable. Each pattern can range from three of each marking, to six, or nine, and this can vary in each place on every lumos. Examples of each pattern will be shown below, and the three, six, or nine, rule, will be shown with stripes, but it is aplicible to all pattern variations.

Helping with Work

There are many things somone may have their lumos do as they're on their healing journey. If somone picks up on gardening, this is the best work of an equine lumos, which can help to loosen dirt and dig around. If somone works in a hospital, their lumos can help to comfort the patients they treat. If somone works in sports, which is best for an avian lumos, they can encourage each other to reach the goal, and to take neccassary breaks. Some people come together to show off their lumos, either in lumen races or lumen shows.
